March 16, 2020

Dear Fort Street Veterinarian Clients,

We understand the growing concern surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) across our community and our hearts go out to all that have been impacted. There is no higher priority that the safety of our clients, team, and patients.  Today, we have made the decision to create social distancing in an effort to help control the spread of COVID-19.

  • Effective today March 16, 2020 for a two week period, we will be limiting appointments to:
    • Sick, injured and emergency situations
    • Important recheck appointments
    • If you have a puppy or kitten in an active vaccination process, we want to stay on established schedule
    • Refills on medications and/or food purchases
  • For above scenarios, we encourage you to call our office at 402-884-3383 for coordination
    • A drop-off or curbside service approach will be taken to limit exposure and reviewed with you at time of scheduling.
      • Drop-offs. You would leave your pet with us for the day to complete exam and/or procedure with pick up time to be determined.
      • Please phone the clinic upon arrival, a team member will retrieve your pet from the car and discuss your pet’s medical needs.  After the exam/necessary testing, we will return your pet to your car to include any needed medications.
    • If you have a routine procedure, exam, or technician appointment scheduled, we will be contacting you directly to re-schedule.

We love our patients, and we’re passionate about the care we provide throughout their lives. After every appointment, our clinic is cleaned and sanitized using a disinfectant formulated to kill coronavirus, among other germs. We provide hand sanitizer for clients and team members, and we work closely with our teams to ensure that anyone who is not feeling well understands that we support them staying home.

We understand you may have specific questions about how to keep your pets and families safe, and we are here to support you in every way possible.  To date, there is no evidence that companion animals can spread COVID-19 (per CDC guidance).
